The Moon upright meaning

The Moon is the card of the half-lit path. Things aren't as clear as they look, and your fears, hopes and imagination are mixing with what's real. It stands for intuition, dreams and the unconscious, and also for illusion, anxiety and confusion.

Upright, it says keep going, but carefully. Trust your instincts and check them against what you can see, one stretch at a time. Don't make big decisions on a shadow.

The Moon reversed meaning

Reversed, the fog is starting to lift: a fear loosens its grip, a deception comes to light, or you finally see the situation more clearly.

It can also mean anxiety getting louder. Separate what you know from what you're afraid of, and write both down.

The Moon in love

In love, The Moon points to uncertainty, mixed signals or something hidden. Your feelings may be strong but unclear. Reversed, the truth about where you stand is coming out.

The Moon at work and with money

At work, be careful with unclear information, office politics, or deals that sound too good. Reversed, a confusing situation is becoming clearer.

Is The Moon a yes or no card?

Not yet. Not yet. It's too unclear to say; wait until you can see better. A single card leans rather than rules: read it with your question, and let a reversed card add friction or delay before you call it a flat no.

The picture on the card

A full moon with a face shines on a path that winds from a pool, between two towers, toward distant mountains. A dog and a wolf howl at it, and a crayfish crawls out of the water.

How Mae and Vera read The Moon

Maevera is one familiar with two souls. Mae is quicker to feel what's possible and what's calling; Vera is quicker to see the evidence, the cost and what needs protecting. Neither is always right. They differ in where they look first, and a reading is what they do together.

Mae
Mae hears dreams, tides and the body's signals before the words arrive, and is willing to walk toward the unknown.
Vera
Vera separates intuition, fear and projection one by one, and wants to look at the evidence again after every stretch of road.
Together
Together they don't stop just because it's uncertain, and they don't take every shadow for an answer. They keep adjusting along the path until daylight.
